Beautiful Eyes

Our Brown Eyed Girl.
Your brother may have BIG BLUE EYES, but your Brown Eyes are just as Beautiful!  You get them straight from your daddy.

Bright & Colorful: SOOC

I've really been slacking on using my camera in manual mode when trying to capture the kids.  It's just too hard sometimes....so I get these "Auto" shots to work with.  Super Cute though.  Can't wait to edit it with Jill & Ashley!

Scavenging with an ALMOST 4 Year Old

Samantha Turns FOUR YEARS OLD this week....so I'm partying ALL week with her photo shoot(s)!

Today is Sunday, so you know I gotta start with my Fave:

AGAINST THE LIGHT
I take Samantha's picture a lot, so it's hard to get a real smile out of her....I finally just decided I was going to tickle her....so here I'm laying on the ground tickling her belly...worked pretty good!
FRAME within a FRAME

BEST PART OF MY DAY
Really?  Can she get any cuter?  Sam loves to play peek-a-boo...or hide and seek...or anything where she can jump out at you.  Her face is priceless!
BUTTON

INK
Do you know how cool it is when Mommy actually draws on your hands?  On purpose!?!?!

Scavenging EAA

WALKING EMPTY STREETS
This past week was EAA AirVenture 2011 in our little city of Oshkosh, WI.  For those of you that don't know what that is: Experimental Aircraft Association LARGEST small plane fly-in...IN THE WORLD!  So, it was very difficult to find a shot void of people....actually if you look closely you can see some one's leg....at any rate, the rows and rows of airplanes reminded me of streets.

REPEATING PATTERNS
The beginning of the Night Air Show...these stunt planes added a light show to their act.  SO COOL!

FLOOR
Taken from the floor of the helipad: Black Hawk and Pilot

THEN and NOW

FINGERTIPS
Could you imagine having this much power at your fingertips?  As we were walking by the plane that houses this bomb...someone asked to see it.  The owners climbed up in the plane and brought this out, opened it up, and the gentleman dropped his pocket of change inside.  (just like they would have done back when it was used)

9 months

I posted most of these on my other blog, but since I DO have this photography blog...I thought I'd share them twice :)  Our baby boy, Cashton, turned 9 months yesterday! (Of course, Samantha needed to get in on the action too)

Scavenging Summertime

1. LONG EXPOSURE

I realize that this really isn't a long exposure....well, not a very long one, at least.  I kinda forgot about this one ;)

2. SHAPES

The ceiling and light fixtures in a super ritzy restaurant....."Potbelly's Subs" LOL!

3. GREEN

Cashton discovering grass

4. FRUIT

Samantha after sucking on a lemon................no, really she just tried some of Grandpa's Rootbeer.  Guess she didn't like it?  You would think, but she went right back for more and had this reaction everytime!

5. CHILDHOOD MEMORY
The faith of a child......in daddy's strong arms....

Flower Scavenger

SOOC
Part of my Mother's Day gift was a trip to a Green House to pick out flowers...although we didn't get this one, it posed for a quick pic for me.

SPROUTING
YAY!  It finally looks like Spring in Wisconsin!!!!  This is the tree in our front yard.

ISN'T IT IRONIC
With all the advertisements for "What Moms Want" that bombard us......isn't it ironic that Mamas melt more over a paper picture flower?
LAZY
I love 'em....but these lazy bums made me haul them through the green house

SMELLS LIKE SPRING
....what a stud my hubby is....even surrounded by flowers!

Scavenging One Productive Week

DIPTYCH
I made homemade baby food for the first time this week.  I don't know why I never did it with our first baby...oh, yeah, I'm pretty lazy.  It was really easy...cost effective...and look at the COLOR of this squash!  It just makes me happy!

BOOK
A book I got for Christmas...I was finally able to make my first project out of it this week.
(I know, pretty productive week, huh?)

FILL IN THE BLANK
When I think about how many questions are in his eyes, I just have to wonder what Cashton is thinking!

TASTE OF ITALY
The title of this pic should be "Looks can be deceiving"
Alfredo sauce from a jar is gross.
Just sayin'.

REMINDERS
Don't Forget to Brush Your Teeth!
Sam had her very first dentist appointment this week.  It was a blast!
She had so much fun "Riding" in the chair and she even got a NEW toothbrush!

Touch Up: Clone Stamp

SOOC

EDIT
This was such a fun edit!  I was able to remove the wires that held this Magic Kingdom Christmas tree up...just using the clone stamp.
Then played with the lighting and colors.

Makes for a much better shot!
